You know one of ’em popular The Multiple sticks by NARS? I don’t know why, but I’ve never been compelled to buy of those. I’ve played with them a lot in store yet have never been tempted to get at least one to try out. I adore their powder blushes but when it came to The Multiples, meh … I’m happy to give them a miss. When Face of Australia sent me their Lumi-Tint Illumnating Sticks for review, I must admit I was sceptical. They look mighty similar to the NARS Multiples and given that I’m not a fan of the latter, I had to wonder how the Lumi-Tints would work.
Bloggie Wednesday: Auto-Subscribing People To Your Newsletters
© bloomua
Have you noticed that you’ve been getting email newsletters from companies that you didn’t even know existed? I’m not talking about random spam emails on SEO and web development but legit newsletters from the retail sector? They could be small companies (usually with something to sell) that you’ve never heard of and yet, you’re somehow subscribed to their newsletter without you actually signing up.
Magic? Hardly. They were auto-subscribing people to their email list. In my books, it’s spam. And it’s certainly not cool.
Benjabelle’s Brush Trees Make Drying Makeup Brushes A Real Breeze
I remembered seeing this on blogs over 2 years ago and I thought “what is that cool contraption and why don’t I have one?!” At that time, it wasn’t available on any other websites other than the Benjabelle’s and if I remembered correctly, they didn’t ship overseas. It’s either that or the shipping fees were very high. Whatever it was, it stopped me from getting it. That was until a few weeks ago when I did a spot of online shopping on Beautylish. I saw that they stocked the brush trees and thought it was high time I gave it a go.
What the Benjabelle Brush Tree is that it’s essentially a “pedestal” for hanging your brushes out to dry (*snigger*). It contains rubbery cut-out bits that allow you to slip your brush in while leaving it hanging upside down. It’s really easy to use; once you’ve washed a makeup brush, stick it onto the Brush Tree and it will hold the brush upside down, allowing it to dry naturally without water seeping back in.
Beauty Tip: How To Keep Your Clear Brow Gel As Clean As Possible
If you love using clear brow gels to tame those caterpillars on our foreheads as much as I do, then you’ll know that it’s very easy for clear brow gels to get very dirty. I recently watched a video on YouTube where the YouTuber claimed that her clear MAC Brow Set was too dirty to use and she had to chuck it even though there’s still a lot of it left.
Wasteful, I know, but I understand where she’s coming from. When your clean and clear brow gel becomes brown, muddy and, quite frankly, gross as hell, you wouldn’t be compelled to use it. I didn’t even finish my old Australis Lash and Brow Extender and Essence’s clear brow/lash gel and I already threw those in the bin because they were so grubby.
