My Newly Revamped And Updated “A Beauty Blogger’s Media Kit” Ebook Is Finally Here!

A Beauty Blogger's Media Kit Ebook Special Offer

A few years ago, I released a free ebook called “A Beauty Blogger’s Media Kit” to assist beauty bloggers in creating their media kit for when they’d like to start working with brands/PRs. I’m very happy to say that it was well-received and many of you even emailed me to thank me for the resources to help them get started.

Fast forward a few years later, I’m afraid that ebook has become rather outdated so I decided to revamp the whole book, update it properly and in the process, I added a lot more content to the book compared to the previous one. I’m so excited to finally launch the ebook today!

If you’re subscribed to my weekly email newsletter, BA Insider, you’d have seen sneak peeks of the ebook weeks ago and participated in the soft launch of the ebook last week (*sneaky cheeky plug starts* if you’re not subscribed already, do join in the fun and the BA community as I post a lot of content in there that aren’t available on the blog*sneaky cheeky plug ends*).

Today’s the proper launch on BA and I’m so excited about it! 😀

A Pretty And Very Useable $2.80 Blush? Yes Sirree!

Daiso Mix Cheek Powder in Magic Colour

Okay I must admit that while I adore Daiso and all of its cheap $2.80 goodness, I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to their cosmetics range. I don’t know what’s in the skincare and makeup because 1) I can’t read Japanese and 2) $2.80 for good skincare and makeup does seem a tad far-fetched to me. So while I’ve spend a lot of money on Daiso products (you’d think that $2.80 per item is pretty inexpensive, right? So you’ll keep throwing stuff into your shopping basket and realised at the checkout counter that you’ve spent at least $28 on those tiny items), I usually steer clear of the cosmetics section.

That was, until about a week ago, I stumbled upon a shelf that contained their latest makeup range. At least, I think they’re the latest because it was on a special shelf. Oh my, the blushes sure look pretty! The eyeshadows looked like something I’d find from Japanese makeup brands like Lavshuca, KATE, Anna Sui, Cezanne, etc. I figured the eyeshadows must be shimmer central given that most Japanese ones are so I decided to picking a blush up to try instead. I bought the Mix Cheek Powder in Magic Colour (that name gave me a bit of a laugh) and y’know something? It definitely was not a waste of $2.80 at all. 😉

Does Your Makeup Routine Change with Every Season?

Does Your Makeup Routine Change with Every Season

I’m sure y’all know by now that I’ve become a bit of a YouTube junkie now and have been consuming beauty videos like there’s no tomorrow. Recently, a lot of videos and even blog posts have been on autumn/fall makeup tutorials (if they’re based in Australia or New Zealand) or spring makeup tutorials (if they’re based anywhere in the Northern hemisphere). Autumn makeup tutorials feature a lot of warm, dark, muted tones and spring makeup tutorials feature a lot of pastels and pink lippies.

This made me wonder – does your makeup routine change with the change of a new season? Does it become warmer in the colder months and brighter in the warmer months? Or does it remain the same?

Talking Scents: AERIN Evening Rose (Including A Giveaway!)

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

AERIN Eau de Parfum Evening Rose

AERIN fragrances are finally available in Australia! Well, it took those fellas long enough, didn’t it? 😛

If you’re wondering, what or who the heck Aerin is, I’m talking about Aerin Lauder. Last name rings a bell, doesn’t it?
She’s the granddaughter of Estée Lauder and Joseph Lauder, the co-founders of the cosmetics company Estée Lauder Companies. She’s currently one of the directors for the Estée Lauder Companies and AERIN is her own cosmetics line. I tried one of her cream blushes a while back and it was lovely. I wish they brought her full makeup line to Australia as well instead of just the fragrances but hey, one step at a time, eh?

There are 7 fragrances by AERIN – Iris Meadow, Waterlily Sun, Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path, Ikat Jasmine and Evening Rose. Today, I thought I’d share one of them with you, and that’s the Evening Rose.
