Oh okay, you got me. I have a lot of makeup. Maybe not as much as you might think I have, but as I look at my set of IKEA drawers, oh yeah, there’s a lot. I’ll show you the collection one day. Remind me please. 😛

Anyway, as I was going through my makeup, I discovered a piece of makeup that I’ve had for years but have actually never used. I’ve chucked old and expired makeup season upon season but this doesn’t even go near the bin. No sirree.

It’s the Dior Minaudiere Eyeshadow and Lipgloss palette. If you think your eyes are playing tricks on you and that this is actually an old palette, no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. This is an old palette. In fact, it’s close to 5 years old. I’m not reviewing this 5 years later because truth be told, I’ve never even used it.

As you know, I’m a bit of a magazine junkie. Okay, the word “a bit” is really downplaying it; I love reading mags. When I’m reading a women’s magazine like Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue, etc, the first pages I usually go to are the Beauty pages. Most articles aren’t really anything new that I haven’t heard or read of before but y’know, there’s just something about flipping those glossy pages that make everything seem better.

Yes, I’m a sucker for glossies that way.

However, there are topics that I’m not a big fan of and unfortunately, I stumble upon them quite often. Just the other day, I read an article about “how to choose the right lipstick colour for you” and something about it rubbed me the wrong way. After mulling over it for days, I finally realised why I didn’t like it. I didn’t like how it dictated what colours women should wear.

Watch out, folks, I’m climbing on my soap box now. 😛

Happy weekend, folks!

I haven’t written about Janey in a while now and since we’ve started the weekend, why not talk about something about my little ball of fur, eh?

For those of you who are new to BA (hello and welcome!), Janey is my dog. She’s a terrier cross and is about 7 years old. Tim and I adopted her from the RSPCA over a year ago and she’s been such a joy in our lives. Well, most of the time anyway. 😛

Now you’d think that since I only have one dog, I’d only have one bed for her, right? Yeah … no. She has 4 beds and at least 2 blankets. Four beds! She’s quite a small dog so I’m sure it would bemuse anyone as to why she needs 4 beds. Well, she doesn’t really need them but she absolutely loves them.
