Bye Bye Dull Skin, I’ll Turn You Around with Clinique’s Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser

Clinique Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser

The Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer Concentrate serum by Clinique was the very first serum I absolutely fell head over heels in love with. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but it did wonders for my skin. I’ve also tried other products from the range and they’re just as good.

When Clinique launched more products in the Turnaround range, you can bet your bottom dollar that I was pretty damn excited to give them a go. One of the items in the range is the Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser. I’ve been using this for 2 months now and figured it’s time for me to share my thoughts about it with you.

I’ve been using it as a typical day cream only to realise a month later, it wasn’t what I thought it was!

I Have Two Eyes: It’s Called Justifying Two Eye Creams

Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti Aging Intensive Eye Serum and Jurlique Purely White Eye Cream

Okay, tell me I’m not the only one who uses two eye creams, one for the day and one for night. Oh all right, normally I wouldn’t use two different eye creams but given that the ones I’m current using are so different from each other, it only makes sense that I use one for the day and the other for the evenings.

Stay with me here, people. I swear I have a point.

During the day, I use the Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-aging + Intensive Repair Eye Serum. Now normally, I’d happily use one eye cream but this eye cream has shimmer in it. It always baffles me why cosmetic companies would add shimmer (mica) into eye creams because they’re so damn unnecessary. I don’t want my undereye area to sparkle, thank you very much! Having said that, I must say that for an eye cream, this Elizabeth Arden one is good. It contains idebenone, which helps with all that anti-aging thingamajig (it’s a synthetic antioxidant similar to CoQ10). I’ve noticed a good amount of line-softening and the dark undereye area appears brighter than usual.

35 Years

Turning 35

Ten years ago, the thought of turning 25 shook me to my core. I remembered telling my good friends that I couldn’t even fathom the thought of turning 26, 27 and so on and that it depressed me. Some people call it quarter-life crisis. Looking back, I now call it “throwing a 25-year-old tanty”.

I turn 35 today.

I look at young ladies in their 20s complaining about how old they are and that their life is going to end when they hit their 30s, and all I want to tell them is this: the 30s is going to be one of the times of your life whether you believe it or not. The independence, the things you can achieve, the things you can do … life is not over, honey. It’s only just begun.

Blush It On, Blush It On With Paula’s Choice’s Contour Palette

Paula's Choice Blush It On Contour Palette

It’s been years since I’ve tried out any makeup by Paula’s Choice. The thing is, while most of her skincare products are pretty damn good, I’m afraid I can’t say the same for the tinted moisturisers I’ve tried before. At that time, the closest thing they had to makeup were tinted moisturisers so I gave up on those and stuck to their skincare instead.

Fast forward a good number of years later, I noticed that the brand had started introducing more forms of makeup. There are foundations, lip glosses, mascaras, eyeshadow palettes and so on now, which is a far cry from before. Okay, between you and me, they still looked pretty meh to me. Well, that was until I stumbled upon their Blush It On Contour Palette.
