Ego Pharmaceuticals Factory Tour: Want To See How Your Skincare Products Are Made?

Note: This is an image-heavy post.

Ego Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Facility Tour

When I started blogging about beauty, one of the items in my blogging bucket list (yes there is such a thing!) is to see how beauty products are made. I’ve used a LOT of beauty products over the past, oh I don’t know, 25 years and one thing I’m always very curious about is to see how these products are actually made.

I used to work in a manufacturing plant when I was living in Malaysia and I know how the manufacturing facilities for semiconductors work. But when it comes to manufacturing skincare, hair care, bodycare and makeup, I’m at a complete loss. It’s no wonder that it’s the first thing on my blogging bucket list.

A couple of weeks ago, Norlin and I attended an event that was hosted by Elucent. As we were chatting with the PR from Ego Pharmaceuticals, she asked us if we would be interested in a factory tour of their manufacturing facilities at Braeside. I must have shouted yes before she even finished her sentence. How rude. 😛

Dior Prestige White Collection Le Nectar Blanc: Gimme The Rose But Hold The Scent

Dior Prestige White Collection Le Nectar Blanc

The Prestige Collection is Dior’s top-of-the-line range of skincare products. The White Collection is the brightening range, which is somewhat similar to their already existing brightening range, Diorsnow (popular in Asia) but on a more luxurious level (read: a heck more expensive 😛 ). This range is formulated for Asian skin but really, anyone could use this.

A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to try out one of their White Collection products, which is the Le Nectar Blanc. After using it for a couple of months, I thought it was time I share my thoughts about it with you.

To be honest, even though I’m about to finish the serum, I have to admit that I’m still on the fence about it.

Bloggie Wednesday: How To Take Your Photos From Meh To Yay With Picmonkey

Bloggie Wednesday: How To Take Your Photos From Meh To Yay! With Picmonkey | Beautyholics Anonymous

I’m a Photoshop junkie. Ever since I discovered the program 7 years ago, I don’t use anything else to edit my photos. It’s a program I use daily to edit any sort of photos I use for myself, the blog, social media and so on. By the way, there’s nothing wrong with editing your photos for your blog. Good quality photos are important and if you can make yours stand out, by all means do it.

Anyway, where was I? Right, Photoshop. Love it, use it daily, my blog is nowhere without it. That is until I discovered Picmonkey. I found out about it from lovely Kaye’s blog and when I started using the free version, I knew I had to jump on the Royale options and pay for a premium subscription. It’s far cheaper than paying for Photoshop and you can get pretty damn good images with Picmonkey alone too without needing to learn about layers and so on with Photoshop. If you use Photoshop, you know what a pain in the bum that can be.

Today, I’d like to show you how you can take your photos from meh to yay with Picmonkey. This is not a sponsored post for Picmonkey by the way. I am an affiliate, but I wouldn’t even bother recommending it to you if I don’t love it myself.

Okay, now that we’ve gotten that disclaimer out of the way, let’s get started!

Do You Take Beauty Supplements?

Do You Take Beauty Supplements?

© gitusik

Okay, confession time. I’m not very diligent in taking my vitamins and supplements. It’s mostly laziness on my part and thankfully, I’m slightly better now. Previously, I would probably remember to take a fish oil capsule once a week or something.

I know. Terrible.

As I browsing the shelves of Chemist Warehouse the other day, I came across a number of sections that had supplements other than the usual fish oil, glucosamine, etc. These were beauty supplements and the ones that I came across were for hair, skin and nails. I’ve walked past them many times but for some reason, this time they caught my attention.

It made me wonder. Do you take beauty supplements?
