Set and Ready To Go With Mecca Cosmetica’s Jet Set Travel Collection

Mecca Cosmetica Jet Set Travel Collection

Today’s post isn’t so much a review per se but something I recently purchased that I’d like to show you. In other words, drown you with lots of photos because my goodness, this one’s a beauty. It’s the Mecca Cosmetica Jet Set Travel Collection.

Now I’ve been lusting after the Anya Hindmarch Inflight Bag for quite some times now, but the thought of paying US$250 for a plastic cosmetic pouch is almost sickening to my ears, heart and wallet. So I watched blogger after blogger, YouTuber after YouTuber use this and I salivated in envy. That was, until a few days ago, when I was browsing the Mecca website and I stumbled upon the Mecca Jet Set Travel Bag. Now I haven’t technically seen nor felt the Anya Hindmarch bag in person but in photos alone, the Mecca Jet Set Travel Bag looks awfully similar. And it was only AU$50!

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation: Is There Such A Thing As Too Matte?

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation | Beautyholics Anonymous

Last year, I did a review on the L’Oreal Infallible 24H foundation and despite reading mixed reviews about this, I for one really liked it. All those 24-hour hold claims aside, I thought it was a pretty spot-on almost-full coverage foundation. Its finish is quite matte on my skin and it didn’t exacerbate my fine lines.

So when the Matte version of the Infallible 24H foundations was launched, I was pretty excited to try it out. As I have combination skin with a very oily T-zone, I tend to sway towards matte foundations and I was raring to give it a go.

Unfortunately, this was a bit of a letdown. Here’s why.

What Do You Do With Gifted Perfumes You Don’t Like?

Perfumes On A Shelf

Come each season of gift-giving (e.g Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc), we’re inundated with advertised suggestions on perfumes to buy for your loved ones. As a beauty blogger, I get press releases on suggestions for gift guides on what fragrances to buy for the people in your life.

I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like giving fragrances as gifts.

Fragrances are, by nature, very subjective to individuals. What I like may not be what you like, and vice versa. That super expensive perfume that you adore may be something that I really dislike. My super cheap Impulse deodorant spray may irritate your senses. What if I got you something that you don’t like?

You get the picture.

The thing is, what do you do with gifted perfumes you don’t like?

Wake Up With Boing Boing Skin With Garnier’s Miracle Sleeping Cream

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream

Sleeping masks are all the rage now and it’s no wonder why. Why just use a mask that you’ll need to leave on for 30 minutes and then wash off when you can use one that you don’t have to wash off and sleep with? I know, it’s my laziness talking here. I can’t be arsed to have to wait and wash. 😛

For me, sleeping masks are akin to night creams. You can either use them on top of your night cream for extra hydration, but they’re usually sufficient to be used in lieu of night creams. Garnier recently launched their version of a sleeping mask called the Miracle Sleeping Cream and I had the opportunity to give one a go.

I’ve been using it as my night cream for the past few weeks and y’know, it’s actually not bad. Not bad at all.
