Do You Look At The Mirror During Your Skincare Regime?

Do You Look At The Mirror During Your Skincare Regime?

I seldom wear my glasses on the blog (can’t show my facial skin properly with my glasses in the way for reviews etc etc), yet here’s the thing: I’m blind as a bat without it. When I get out of the shower, dried myself off with a towel, popped on body lotion, I head to the bedroom to start my skincare regime. I don’t have a proper dressing table, only 2 chests of drawers my skincare items sit on, so I usually stand in front of a small mirror to apply my skincare products.

Again, just to remind you, I’m blind as a bat without my glasses and throughout the entire process, I don’t have my glasses on. If you’re also short-sighted like me, you’ll know how it feels to have to go very near the mirror just to see what you’re doing clearly.

What’s Worth Spending Your Hard-Earned Dosh On: The Skincare Edition

What's Worth Spending Your Hard-Earned Dosh On: The Skincare Edition

I hope you’ve enjoyed Tuesday’s instalment of “what’s worth spending your hard-earned dosh on: makeup edition“. Today, I’d like to finish up with the skincare edition. Again, I’m going to sound like a broken record here because you’ll also have heard me talk about this many times but when the products are that good to worth mentioning so many times, they’re certainly worth a try.

I mention serums a lot here because that’s where you should be spending more of your money on. Save your money on cleansers, toners and even moisturisers, and splurge on good serums that can and will bring your skin to the next level.

Bloggie Wednesday: 4 Things I Loved About The Problogger Event 2015

Problogger Event 2015

They say that if you want the ultimate high and inspiration for all of your blogging needs, go to a blogging conference. By they, I meant me. It’s very hard not to come out of it frustrated and uninspired and right now, I feel like I need to do another major brain dump of all of the ideas that came into my head during and after the conference.

By now you’ll know that I have just returned from the Problogger Event conference at Gold Coast. This year’s conference is quite different from last year’s. Last year’s conference concentrated on many technical aspects of blogging e.g. how to grow your email list (not just the usual lead magnets, pop-ups, etc but down to the nitty gritty), building your blog’s SEO, how to secure and maintain your WordPress blog, etc. I highly enjoyed the technical talk and thought it was going be similar this year.

However, this year concentrated on the human aspects of blogging. It wasn’t the technical sessions that I expected but at the end of it, I realised that I actually loved this year’s conference more because of the raw emotions that came out of the speakers and audience, the chord they struck in me and the tears they brought to my eyes.

What’s Worth Spending Your Hard-Earned Dosh On: The Makeup Edition

What's Worth Spending Your Hard-Earned Dosh On: The Makeup Edition

I’ve tried a good amount of makeup over the years. A lot of them were from the pharmacy and some of them from high-end brands. Today, I’d like to share with you the more expensive makeup that I believe is worth spending your hard-earned money on. I’m very particular of the expensive makeup I splash on so I have to make sure they’re worth the money. After trying and using these for a good amount of time, I can safely declare that these are definitely worth the money.

You’ll notice that when it comes to makeup, I much prefer to splurge on face makeup than anything else. I don’t find myself drawn to eye makeup much unless they’re so damn beautiful on the palette that I cannot resist. Most of the time, I do. It’s face makeup that draws me like a moth to a flame every time. I love trying out new foundation and any sort of powders.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, you’ll have heard me mention some of these several times. I can’t help it; I love them that much!
