Bourjois Aqua Blush, Thy Lovely Name Is Cocori Corail

Bourjois Aqua Blush in Cocori Corail
I’ve been meaning to check this blush out when it was launched in Australia months ago but for some reason, it completely slipped my mind and I forgot about it. That was up to a couple of months ago when to my delight, I found a Bourjois Aqua Blush in one of the beauty swap goodies with Shamim. What great timing too. As summer is now well and truly upon us here Down Under, cream blushes are great for that natural, glowy appearance.

The Aqua Blush gave me just that and more.

That Thing About Unwanted Hair Removal

Razors

I have a love-hate relationship with the one thing I’ve been using for the past 20 odd years to remove unwanted hair – the razor. It’s the easiest and cheapest tool to get rid of unwanted hair from the armpits, arms, legs and even bikini area, but goodness me, the number of times I’ve accidentally sliced myself is far too many than I can remember.

Oh I know, I know, I should be using proper shaving gel, hair conditioner or anything slippery to prevent cuts and I do use them. They’re great to aid shaving with a razor, of course, but clumsy clogs me will still manage to cut somewhere with the damn razor. ๐Ÿ˜› I’ve tried depilatory creams (hate them) and epilators (don’t like them either). So a few years ago, I decided to give professional hair removal a go. I tried IPL out.

IPL is Intense Pulsed Light treatment. It works by emitting a wavelength into the skin, which in the case of hair removal, targets pigment. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. It quickly turns to heat which then kills the growing cells that make the hair. I don’t actually have much hair on my legs and while I have hairy arms, the hair’s thin in that area, which makes the hairiness far less noticeable. I opted for the armpits as my hair was dark in that area and it was my hair removal method of choice for a couple of years. I even had IPL done on my moustache. ๐Ÿ˜›

Christmas Gift Guide 2015: For A Cosy Home

Christmas Gift Guide 2015 For A Cosy Home

Welcome to the 5th and final day of Tine’s Christmas Gift Guide for 2015. I hope you’ve enjoyed the gift ideas as much as I’ve enjoyed creating the guide for them. Man, it made me want to buy a lot of stuff. Talk about self-enabling!

I’d like to conclude the Christmas gift guide with gift ideas for the home. A common comment I get when I have visitors in my home is that it’s cosy (to be honest, I think it’s just a much nicer word than “gee, it’s small” ๐Ÿ˜› ) and I like to think that I’ve done my best to keep it as cosy as possible. I love browsing homeware stores and believe you me, it’s hard to fight the temptation of not adding more unnecessary things in my house.

Out of all of the stores I’ve checked out to come up with this gift guide, the one I’m most impressed with is, believe it or not, Kmart. They’re really stepping up their game in terms of homeware and you can buy beautiful wooden and marble items for your home at very low prices. They even have exact dupes for items sold in other far more expensive stores. In fact, there are many Instagram accounts dedicated to how people decorate their home with items from Kmart Australia. Check out the hashtag #kmartinspire on Instagram and you’ll know what I mean!

Without further ado, let’s get started.

Happy shopping!

Christmas Gift Guide 2015: For The Chic Geek

Christmas Gift Guide 2015 For The Chic Geek

Welcome to day 4 of Tine’s Christmas Gift Guide for 2015! Today, we have lovely gift ideas for the chic geeks. I adore new gadgets and these look like so much fun!

When I was doing a bout of window shopping in stores and browsing online, I must say that it rather peeved me to see that tech gifts for ladies were pretty much phone covers. Come on, there are far better things than just fancy phone covers! Still, I did include a couple in here that are pretty cute but between you and me, I much prefer the rest. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m lucky to have a couple of items in this list but I’d be mighty chuffed if someone gave me anything from this page (*hint hint nudge nudge*). Yes yes it’s more like my wishlist than anything else but oh you know what I mean! If you’re a gadget-y girl like I am, methinks you’ll enjoy these too!

Happy shopping!
