CROP Natural Liquid Foundation, You Really Can Do Better!

CROP Natural Liquid Foundation in Natural Beige

A few months ago, I reviewed a blush from CROP Natural, which is a relatively new “natural” skincare and makeup brand that came to the market. It turned out to be a very decent blush, which made me curious on giving other makeup a go. I thought I’d try out the liquid foundation and see how it goes. The packaging looked good and even though I had a feeling the coverage was going to be quite light, I figured I could use it as a tinted moisturiser if coverage was sheer.

Well, it wasn’t and unfortunately, this turned out to be a disappointment. At least in my books. Sigh.

Tine’s Guide To Getting Off Your Bum: My Favourite Exercise Apps and At-Home Workout Video Resources

My Favourite Exercise Apps and At-Home Workout Video Resources

As much as I enjoy running now (fancy saying that!), let’s face it, there’s only so much running one can do each week before he/she either keels over from knee injuries or from boredom. My knees don’t allow me to run daily – experts don’t recommend it anyway – and to be honest, if running is all I do per week, I’d be bored silly and would have stopped ages ago.

I like to vary my exercises in between my running days and over the past 6 months, I’ve discovered some good ones that I do regularly. My aim is not just to exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes a day but also to strengthen my core muscles, which, to be honest, at the moment are quite shit. By adding variation to my running, this keeps exercising fun and interesting.

Here are a few apps and workout video resources that I’ve used and loved. I’ve also added my favourite running apps into the mix as well. Do give them a go; they’re really fun to do! That is, if some doesn’t leave you in pain the next day. 😛

On My Beauty Bookself: The Little Book of Skincare by Charlotte Cho

Little Book of Skincare by Charlotte Cho

Confession time: I don’t know a whole lot about Korean skincare. The only Korean skincare products I’ve used are BB creams (to the Koreans, BB creams are skincare) and facial sheet masks. The only Korean skincare brands I’ve tried are Etude House, Skin Food, The Face Shop and Missha. I’ve always loved Japanese skincare and thought Korean skincare had very similar concepts so why change if I don’t have to? It’s funny because my mother on the other hand adores Korean skincare. She uses Sulwhasoo and History of Whoo, which if you know Korean skincare, you’ll know that they’re just about the SKII level or even higher in the Korean skincare world.

Recently I stumbled upon a book called The Little Book of Skincare: Korean Beauty Secrets for Healthy, Glowing Skin by Charlotte Cho. I admit that prior to this book, I didn’t know who she was, nor the successful business empire that is Soko Glam that she founded and heads. The book has great reviews (mostly by Soko Glam fans) and I thought I’d give it a go.
