Lacura Cloth Face Masks: Don’t Knock The Cheapie!

Lacura Cloth Face Masks

I’m a big Aldi fan. Not only are their groceries cheaper than typical supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths, they also have new stock of furniture, knick-knacks, and much more weekly. It’s very hard for me to walk past an Aldi store and not walk in to see what their latest releases are. Tim is sometimes quite afraid of going into an Aldi store with me because I will almost always come out with something totally unnecessary, e.g. the hundredth sticky note set I already have, towels, beauty products, candles, containers for all kinds of things and much more.

An often overlooked part of the Aldi is their beauty section. This is understandable because up to a couple of years ago, their beauty section only consisted of simple toiletries like soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and the occasional body lotion. These days, they have different ranges of full skincare steps that are very similar to beauty brands like Nivea, Olay, Moroccan Oil, etc but at much lower prices. A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon their facial sheet masks and I thought I’d give them a go.

Tine’s Guide To Getting Off Your Bum: Increase Productivity And Get Moving At The Same Time!

Yoga Mat

This is a trick I picked up recently and it was like a revelation. Of course, I’m sure you probably know this already but in case you don’t, I’d love to share my recent discovery with you that not only increased my productivity levels but got me off my arse at the same time. This trick applies mostly to those working from home but if you’re in an office that’s pretty flexible, this could work for you too.

I’ve been working from home for a good number of years now. The hardest thing about working from home is being able to focus on your work and not be distracted by a million and one things around the house (dog, dishes, laundry, social media, emails, etc). Another disadvantage to working from home is that when I’m in the zone, I don’t get off my chair for hours on end. HOURS. My legs would cramp up and my bum would be numb but I’d simply soldier on to get my work done. Don’t get me wrong; I love being able to work from home but to tell you the truth, I do miss walking over to my colleagues for a bit of water-cooler talk every now and then.

You Cheeky Minx, Diorblush #866 Rose Sublime, For Tricking Me!

Diorblush #866 Rose Sublime

I must admit that when this Dior blush landed on my desk for review and I took a look at the shade, I wasn’t too excited about it. It’s not the sort of colour I’d pick for myself and truth be told, I was a little disappointed. Now before you think “you ingrate, Tine; it’s freakin’ Dior!“, I always count my lucky stars whenever I’m sent something to try out and potentially review, whether it’s Cetaphil or Dior. The reality is that there will be times when it’s not always what you really want.

BUT and this is a big but (kekeke!) … it turns out, I was wrong after all. For even though this looks like a not-so-savoury shade on the outside, it’s utterly different when worn on the cheeks.

Geez Louise, it’s beautiful.

Bloggie Wednesday: When Blog Posts Go Viral

Bloggie Wednesday: When Blog Posts Go Viral

When a blog post goes viral, it’s like hitting the blogging jackpot. Your blog traffic skyrockets and it can remain high for some time before it starts to plateau and bring you back down to earth. The key is to keep the blog post viral as long as possible. But how do we do that?

By the way, when I talk about viral posts, I’m not talking about the ones that gained negative publicity. That is a tough one to tackle and I’m very thankful to say that I don’t have any experience with that. I’ve seen how blog posts that went viral and attracted all sorts of negative publicity tear the blogger apart, making him/her shut down all of their social media accounts and in the end, shut the blog down altogether. I really wouldn’t want to be in their shoes and cannot even imagine how they must feel when everything happened so quickly just because a blog post of theirs went viral, but went viral the wrong way.

Today, I’m talking about viral posts that attract a lot of positive responses from your current readers. I’m talking about blog posts that do extremely well, the ones that bring in a lot of traffic from Google search, Pinterest, etc and most importantly, the ones that not only attracted traffic to your blog but converted that traffic into actual subscribers.
