Alpha Keri Goodies Giveaway!

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

Alpha Keri Giveaway

I’m sure you’ve noticed this but in case you didn’t, pharmacies here in Australia has two different sections for the fancy-smelling body products and for the, erm, rather boring-looking ones. You’ll be hard-pressed to find Cetaphil stocked next to Dove or Palmolive. Brands like Cetaphil, Alpha Keri, Dermaveen, etc are usually on a separate shelf to indicate that their products are meant for sensitive skin compared to commercial brands like Dove, Palmolive, etc. Having said that, boring-looking doesn’t automatically mean that the products are sub-standard. In fact, if you do have sensitive skin, these are great brands that you should go for because they’re specially-formulated for sensitive skin.

I recently had the opportunity to try out products from Alpha Keri and I must say, I’m a convert. In fact, I may actually switch from my favourite Cetaphil to Alpha Keri because the latter has a wider range of products and they’re great for dry and sensitive skin too. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but Alpha Keri recently had a relaunch of their products and design. Well well, boring-looking products no more, I say, because they actually look as well as they perform now. I particularly like their Skin Hydrating Body Wash, the Anti-Cellulite Sugar Body Scrub and the Skin Moisture Boost Lotion. They’re fragrance-free and gentle on the skin. Typical me, I’m skeptical about the Anti-Cellulite bit, but as a body exfoliator, it does a great job.

Anyway, on with the good news!

Beautyholics Anonymous has teamed up with the people Alpha Keri to give one lucky BA reader a chance to try out their products!

Introducing Closet Planner Addict!

Planner Layout

Happy hump day, my beautiful chickadees!

This isn’t beauty nor blogging-related but I thought I’d share this with you nonetheless because I’m so excited about it. I’ve hinted on a project I’ve been working on last year a couple of times now and while that project has launched in January, I realised that I’ve not actually mentioned what it was here on BA. Silly me!

Well, here it is! I’m very proud and excited to reveal to you my new Etsy store, Closet Planner Addict!

Boing That Skin Up With Skin Republic’s Face Mask Sheets

Skin Republic Face Mask Sheets

I’ve been on a bit of a facial sheet mask binge the past few weeks and my skin is absolutely loving it. There’s nothing more relaxing and comfortable on a stinking hot evening than a nice cool facial sheet mask on your skin, I tell ya.

As you know, I love my favourite facial sheet masks (L’Herboflore, My Beauty Diary and SK-II) and I’m about to add one more brand into the mix, and that’s Skin Republic. This is not to be confused with the Korean brand Nature Republic as Skin Republic is an Australian brand. Having said that, Skin Republic’s facial sheet masks are made in Korea so you can be assured that they function and feel pretty much the same as most Korean facial sheet masks.

There are 12 products in Skin Republic’s range of masks. There are 6 facial sheet masks, an under-eye mask, a neck and decolletage mask and 4 types of hand and foot sheet masks. Today I’ll be talking about their facial sheet masks which are, in my opinion, pretty darn good.

Do You Read Self Help Or Self Improvement Books?

Self Help and Self Improvement Books

Okay, it’s confession time. I’ve mocked self help and self improvement books for years. In fact, I remember the times I’d gone to the bookstore with an old boyfriend many years ago and whenever he picked up a self-help book, I’d say “Really? You believe the bullshit the author spews? How can you even learn from a self-help book? They’re woo woo nonsense!“.

Ahh young and cynical Tine at 18. 😛
