For a moment there, I actually thought McDonald’s sent me Frappe Chocolate! That would be many levels of awesome.
One of my favourite moments of shopping in the US years ago, other than going batshit crazy at the 5+ Sephoras I went to, was shopping at Bath and Body Works. The sheer amount of body care products was seriously overwhelming. There’s just so much to choose from that it’s almost imperative to carry a jar of coffee beans with you to sniff between each product range because your senses will take such a hit. Oh, and those US$1 Pocketbac hand sanitisers? I probably brought about 10 back with me just because I could. 😛
Unfortunately, Bath and Body Works is not available in Australia. Heck, you can’t even buy from the website and have the products shipped here unless you go through a parcel forwarding company. I did that once and I ended up paying so much for shipping no thanks to the amount of candles I purchased that it just wasn’t worth it at all.
So, where did this haul come from? Well, I heard on the Twitter vine that there’s an Australian online store that specifically sells Bath and Body Works products with pretty decent shipping fees. I checked it out and decided to place an order for some items too. It’s call Bath, Body and Home. Yeah, not a very original name but eh, what are you going to do? 😛
Mind you, Bath, Body and Home stocks nowhere even near the amount of products Bath and Body Works has. In fact, they probably only sell 10% of the entire Bath and Body Works line. It didn’t really bother me because truth be told, when’s there’s just too much to choose from, I usually end up not buying anyway. Just to do a test run, I picked up 3 shower gels and 5 different types of candles. As you can tell, these were quite heavy yet shipping was only AU$6.95 (in fact, since my order went just slightly over AU$100, shipping was free).
I haven’t tried any of the shower gels yet but the candles are oh so good! I’m currently burning the Island Margarita as I’m writing this and my home office smells like delicious lime and margarita. The 3-wick Eucalyptus Mint burns very evenly and smells heavenly. While the mini candles smell good too, they don’t burn evenly and often has a hollow in them, which is a bummer.
Shipping took 3 days from when I placed my order. I’ve seen Bath and Body Works products sold on eBay but after factoring in shipping fees, they’re often more expensive than buying from Bath, Body and Home. I’ll definitely purchase more in future, especially more candles! Bear in mind though, the items sell out pretty quickly and I’m guessing it will take them some time to order more from Bath and Body Works so if you like a particularly “hot” item, snap it up quickly. You may also notice that some of the products are actually slightly cheaper than sold on the official Bath and Body Works website. The official website does a lot of good deals like “buy 3 get 2 free” and the item works out to be cheaper per bottle, which is something Bath, Body and Home doesn’t do.
By the way, this isn’t a sponsored post for Bath, Body and Home nor did they send me any products to try (I don’t think they even know I exist!). It’s just something I stumbled across lately and wanted to share with you in case you’re interested in trying out Bath and Body Works but can’t buy them in Australia. I’m glad I found it because I know I’ll be getting more candles from them once I’m done with this stash.
If you do end up shopping on Bath, Body and Home (woohoo enabler me did my job again!), have fun! Let me know what you bought!
Damn enabler! I’m going to have to check this place out as I’ve started loving lighting candles again plus Miss 12 is an obsessed fan of bath & bodyworks! Her skin can take the body lotions and the range of scents is just incredible! At least I’ve now got my Christmas stocking fillers sorted

Hehehe glad to oblige! The range of scents at Bath Body and Home is poor in comparison to the Bath and Body Works website but in a pinch for gifts, etc, it’s pretty good. Plus they package the hell out of the products with lots of packing peanuts and big boxes so the breakables are quite safe. Currently burning Provence Garden as I’m writing this and it smells divine.
I heard of the site on Facebook, and I must say I’m keen to do an order. I notice their products sell out quick, so I should get some candles. Glad that I know the minis don’t burn well. Might get a couple of mason jar candles… mmmm red velvet cupcake!
I was hoping to add another jar of the 3-wick Eucalyptus Mint to my wishlist/shopping cart but it’s already sold out! I don’t recommend the minis (although that Caribbean Escape smells OH SO GOOD!) but I highly recommend the mason jars and 3-wick ones because they burn very well. No pitting at all and burn evenly.
Singapore has Bath and Body works now!:)
I find some of their scents nice, but nothing has really appealed and stood out to me cause I’m too overwhelmed with the variety and smell that is Bath and Body works whenever I step in.
Haha. A dear friend bought me Pink Chiffon body lotion and Lavender Honey mist during her trip to the States though.
What are your favorite scents?
I haven’t tried that many B&BW products to be honest so I can’t say I have a specific favourite. Before this haul, I remember loving something-Linen very much. Or any scents that smells really fresh like laundry. 😛
I might just be easily amused, but I think it’s so hilarious that it came in a Maccas box lol 😛

Oh dear. DH will not be pleased. Naughty, naughty Tine!! I LOVE B&BW SOOOOO much. And now I can shop there again. Sorry credit card….take the hit dammit! 😀

It’s just a small range but a pretty good one nevertheless. If that helps. Ahem. 😉
I love the Country Chic Eau de Toilette, its my everyday perfume. My brother picked it from Macy’s & I was stumped that he chose such an amazing women’s fragnance. Planning to butter him up to buy me the entire range the next time 😉

Hehehe I wish you luck in the buttering up. If I could, I’ll hand you more butter. Tee hee! 😉
Omg Tine. I wish you didn’t!!! Show me all these awesome pictures I mean. Now my fingers are aching to do some online shopping! I haven’t tried Bath and Body Works but have heard enough good things about them to want to try them out. I think this is the last straw!

Uh oh. What did I dooooooo? 😛 😛 😛
I used to hear so much about Bath & Body Works that when I found out a store had opened in Singapore, I visited. unfortunately, I and my nose was overwhelmed 🙁 Found the scents too synthetic for my liking especially for the candles so I can’t say I’d be lining up outside the door when B&BW opens up here. Oh yes, it will soon 🙂

Haha very like LUSH! I haven’t been to a B&BW store in 6 years so I’ve definitely forgotten how heavy it smells. I reckon I’m happy to just buy the products online without my sense of smell taking a massive punch in the gonads. 😛
I like Cotton Island from Bath & Body Works…And the Twilight Woods range and the autumn candle that smells like apples. I think I suffer the same syndrome as you — too many choices and I end up buying none which happens to me every time I visit a BBW in the US. I once got some hand sanitizers and body sprays which I enjoyed but have found nicer smelling hand sanitizers on iherb.com — though cannot lie that the BBW deals are very very enticing.

I like Cotton Island too. Smells really good. Ooh what’s your favourite hand sanitisers from iHerb? Wouldn’t mind adding a couple to my shopping cart. 😉
My fave one has to be EO’s peppermint spray – they do a 10ml purse one and a bigger 60 ml one. Clean Well is great too – the small travel spray lasts forever. Both are non-alcohol formulas so hopefully that’s kinder on hands.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll add it to my shopping basket. I love how they keep all your added stuff in the shopping basket even if you don’t check out right there and then. I usually forget what I’ve put in there. 😛
I picked up the dancing waters lotion in Fiji & loved it! I’m trying to find more. What happened to this Australian online store? The link no longer works. Did they close?
The ecommerce platform they were on closed down. I heard that they’re coming up with a new website/design, which they’ll have to if they want to continue. Which I hope they do because they’re the only online store for BBW products that are reasonably priced. I was really disappointed when their link no longer worked. I need my BBW candle fix!
I have come across a new online store that are stocking the Bath and Body Works Range. http://www.jamcreationsaustralia.com
Thanks for the heads up, Julie! 🙂
