Yep, another lip balm! Boy, we’re doing quite a lot of lip balms this week, aren’t we? 😛
What a stir author/beauty editor/blogger/all round awesomeness Zoe Foster-Blake caused when her skincare line, Go-To was launched on April Fool’s Day. Never in my life have I ever noted a beauty brand launch in my calendar and jumped on it so quickly than this. Crazy, huh?
I picked up 3 items from her small skincare line and today, I’d like to give a quick mention to the Go To Lipbalm. I tweeted my first impression of it and a week later, I still stand by it. I love it!
The star ingredient of this lipbalm is medical-grade lanolin. It’s no secret that Zoe (first names basis, yo. Even though she has no idea who I am 😛 ) is a fan of Lanolips lip balms, which star ingredient is also lanolin. Perhaps that’s why her lip balm also has similar ingredients. Between you and me, I much prefer the Go-To lipbalm to Lanolips because it’s lighter, much easier to dispense (Lanolips’ balm can be really hard to dispense when it hardens in the tube) and creates a lovely glossy sheen on the lips. Moisturisation is ace with this one.
I love the Go-To packaging and the website. It’s sassy, fun and almost every page makes me laugh (even when they’re taking my money!). Even if you don’t buy anything, I highly recommend you check the Go-To website out.
At AU$14.95 per 15g, it’s similarly priced to the Lanolips lip balms and for what it does, I think it’s a great lipbalm. It’s a staple in my bag now and I use it on top of lipstick as well for that extra shine. Should have gotten another tube for me to put on my bedside table. Ah well, next order then.
Two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me!
