Happy first day of VAMFF folks!
The festival started off with a very windy morning at Docklands today where we were given a sneak peek into the VAMFF Arrivals Village. This is what you’ll see when you first step onto Central Pier this evening. Graeme Lewsey, CEO of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, unveiled the on-site activities by festival partners Virgin Australia, L’Oreal Paris, Lavazza, Dulux, Ted Baker, Emporium Melbourne, BMW, Westfield and more.
Well, what’s a start of a morning without the Westfield Hunks, eh? 😉
We were given a short tour of the runway hall and a bit of a sneak peek as to what will be going on throughout the week. Believe you me, this is going to be one heck of a week!
I thought I’d leave you with some pictures of the morning and what you’ll be expecting to see this festival week. Remember to check out the pop-up booths on Central Pier. Psst: Ted Baker is having an awesome photobooth where you get a chance to win some pretty neat prizes.
Nicole Warne (Gary Pepper Girl), who is the 2014 Style Consultant for Lavazza, with Australian designer Michael Lo Sordo, whose exclusive collaboration with Lavazza in the bold prints can be seen in the limited edition Lavazza coffee cups (served onsite and selected cafes throughout VAMFF).
Does she look familiar? You may have seen her on massive VAMFF billboards and flags!
Come early to the L’Oreal Paris Powder Room for a complimentary skin and makeup consultation.
Catching up with Bronwyn Fraser whom some of you may remember from my L’Oreal Paris Wild Ombre event.
I’ll be heading backstage this evening to have a bit of a nosey about. If you see me, please come say hi!
Have a fab VAMFF week!
