When I first saw the NARS x Pierre Hardy makeup collection, I knew I wanted just one thing and that was the blush (when have I ever said no to blushes, eh? ;)). I haven’t acquired it (yet) but I recently had the chance to try out some of the nail polish sets instead. I’ve never tried any nail polishes by NARS before so it wasn’t long before I stripped the existing colours off my nails and tried these out instead.
Inspired by his 2013 high-fashion shoe collection, Pierre Hardy infuses his ultra modern color palette into limited edition nail polish pairs, presented in the spirit of his signature shoebox packaging. These two complementary shades selected by Hardy may be worn together or separately – hands, toes, anything goes. Sets includes two nail polishes and Pierre Hardy for NARS signature mini-shoebox and dust bag.
There are 5 box sets of nail lacquers in the collection and I was fortunate to be able to try two out. I’ve even salivated over my own swatches, how crazy is that? 😛
Set #1: Sharp Lines
Sharp Lines Left: Peachy cream
Sharp Lines Right: Burgundy jelly
Set #2: Ethno Run
Ethno Run Left: Bright orange cream
Ethno Run Right: Navy blue jelly
I cannot say the same for the 3 box sets but from these two, I can say that each box contains one cream lacquer and one jelly lacquer. My favourites are the dark jellies, especially the navy blue. All of the nail polishes are very glossy, applies without any streaking or dragging and wear quite well without chipping (this is with wrapped tips and top coat).
All in all, these are gorgeous nail polishes from NARS. The Pierre Hardy collaboration made them even cuter with the signature shoe boxes and dust bags. Now I really cannot wait to check out the blushes! 😛
The NARS x Pierre Hardy collection is available at Mecca Cosmetica. Each nail polish set of 2 nail polishes retail at AU$39.
Have you tried any of the NARS x Pierre Hardy makeup before? What about nail polishes from NARS? Your thoughts? Yay or nay?
Note: These nail polishes were provided for editorial consideration. Boys drool, Mecca rules!
OMG !! Love love love the look of the Nars polishes. Blue and burgundy jelly for me!
I haven’t tried Nars before, so this might be the product to dip my toes into….. No pun intended 🙂
Hahaha I know right? I’m glad the first time my tootsies dipped into NARS nail polishes was this Pierre Hardy collaboration. I didn’t particularly like the Thakoon collaboration but this one’s right up my alley 🙂
I love the orange and navy set! But for that price I’ll probably have to wait a bit before getting it. I really want the blush though, I saw it on the Mecca website yesterday and just knew straight away that I had to have it!
