Boy oh boy, do I have some blush eye candy today for you or what. 😛
I recently had the awesome possum opportunity to try out four beautiful blushes from Dior’s Summer 2013 Mix and Match blush collection. I’ve not tried any cream blushes from Dior before so this was an eye-opener for me. The four blushes are the Capri, Bikini, Pareo and Panama.
Except for the pale pink Capri, these matte blushes are highly pigmented. You’d need to work the Capri a bit more for the colour to show on the skin. As for the rest, I had to be careful in how I applied the blush because I almost always picked up too much colour.
Even though they look like cream in the pots, they actually feel more like baked blushes. Baked makeup usually looks quite dry on top but these ones are very smooth. I’m not entirely sure if the blushes are baked but just in case they are, I’ll be paying close attention when using the blushes and making sure I keep the lids on as much as I can to prevent drying out. One of the blushes have started to dry out; in fact, the entire blush fell out of the pot like baked biscuit!
Capri: Pale pink
Panama: Orange-coral
There’s almost a very fine powdery feel to them when you swipe your finger across the top.. I like using my fingers with this blush rather than a brush because it gives a more natural finish. I don’t normally use my fingers to apply blush unless they’re cream blushes (even so, I’d usually prefer a stippling brush) but these just look better on the skin when fingers are used.
Bikini: Rose pink
Pareo: Bright pink
These are gorgeous, GORGEOUS blushes that any blush fiends would love to have in their collection. I hope you’ve enjoyed a bit of the eye candy above. As for me, oh HELL YES. 😛
Dior’s Summer 2013 Mix and Match blushes retail at AU$53 each and are now available at Dior cosmetic counters at major departmental stores and selected pharmacies nationwide.
Note: These blushes were provided for editorial consideration.

So pretty, right? You actually only need very little at one time because these blushes (especially the Panama) are very pigmented. So price per gram, it’s actually not that bad. If that’s any justifications 😉
All the blushes look gorgeous on you , but my favorite is orange- coral Panama.
I am keen to try a cream blush because my skin has been so dry this time of the year .
Thanks Claire. The Panama sure is beautiful. These blushes don’t have a dewy finish but they don’t look dry on the skin 🙂
I want them all! haha. Are these hot off the press? Haven’t seen them in Singapore.

Yep pretty much hot off the press. These are only just available in Australia but I heard this will be in Malaysia in July. So Singapore would be either earlier or the same time 🙂
Oh YUM! 😀 I haven’t seen these myself as they are due here in July but I can’t wait till I do. I’m surprised how light they are on skin. Not usually a fan of cream blushes but we’ll see how it goes 🙂 How’s longevity on these?

The light pink one (Capri) not so much but the rest lasted all day on my skin. These are GORGEOUS. 😛

“Jaaaadddeee Jaaaadddeee buy meeeeeeee!”

i saw these yesterday in store! and they’re so utterly gorgeous. I was so perplexed because they’re not on any websites and I thought I was going abit cray cray trying to track them down.
Hahaha if you want to get them overseas, try Harrods. As for reviews, there aren’t many Aussie ones but international ones should be okay 🙂
These are so pretty on you! All the shades work really well.

Thanks Lyn. I’m sure you’ll love them too 🙂
I’m loving the color options. 871 is my favorite, and with a light hand, I’ll probably get 651 as well.
