Welcome to the 5th episode of BB Creamlogy! I hope you’re enjoying this series of mini BB cream reviews so far. As for me, I highly enjoy it because it means I get to try different types of BB creams (purchased or sent for editorial consideration) and let you know which ones you should try and which ones you should just save your hard-earned money on. π
Today, I’m happy to bring you 3 BB creams that goes across the seas. One’s from Korea, another from Japan and the other one from the UK. One that I didn’t expect to like and another that I really expected to like but ended up disappointing me.
Can you guess which one goes where? π
Yadah Angel BB Cream

Hada Labo BB Air 10-in-1 Function

Conclusion:
I’ve actually not heard of Yadah before this BB cream (this was a gift). To be honest, when I first saw the BB cream, I didn’t think much of it at all simply because of its packaging. It lacked the sophistication that most BB creams have and I thought it was rather kiddish. This goes to show that one should never judge a book by its cover because when I used it, it knocked my perception right out the window. Granted, the coverage is not as heavy as the other 2 BB creams but it has the best texture of the three. The coverage is more of a tinted moisturiser than BB cream so it doesn’t conceal blemishes much. It goes on the skin beautifully, evens out the skin tone well and looks even better as the hours go by. I like this the best of the three.
Out of the three, I was most keen on trying out the Hada Labo Air. The high SPF was very appealing and when I saw this at Watsons in Malaysia, I quickly snapped it up as I couldn’t wait to try it out. Sigh … sadly, I found it disappointing. Whenever I spread this BB cream on my face, it flakes. I don’t know why this happens. I’ve not experienced this with any BB creams before. When tiny flakes appear as I keep spreading the BB cream out, I had to sweep the flakes away and a lot of it land on the desk. It just looked like I had a bad case of face dandruff, if there’s even such a thing :(. As for longevity, this was abysmal. It doesn’t last long and by the end of the day, most of the BB cream would have faded. It’s a disappointment all right.
The No7 BB cream was a spur of the moment purchase. Quite some time ago, Ling‘s sister came to Australia for a visit and she kindly helped me buy this from Boots. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use this BB cream much because even though it’s the lighter shade of two (the other is Medium), it’s still too dark for my skin. Mixing it with another BB cream or moisturiser would lighten the shade but it wouldn’t make this review accurate. So, for the times I have tried this on its own (for quick dashes to the post office and back), it’s a mediocre BB cream. I find the finish a bit too “wet” for my liking.
Whaddyaknow, the one I wanted to try the most didn’t work for me and yet, the one with the simple, girly packaging did a much better job. I use the Yadah Angel BB cream often on errand-running days when I don’t need a lot of coverage on the skin. Happy days. π
Have you tried any of these BB creams before? Your thoughts?
I’m so disappoint to hear that the Hada Labo one didn’t work that well. I had really high hopes because some people are just raving about it. Thanks god I read your review because flaky bb cream (which is so rare) isn’t my cup of tea.

I agree, flaky BB cream IS rare. I’ve actually not experienced it before with my BB cream stash. How strange!
One day, I want a picture of ALL the BB creams you own. Your entire koleksi π
Hahahaha I think I’ll post a picture of all my current BB creams in my next post. It will be a scary one! π
Boo hoo….I’ve been waiting so long for your review on the Hada Labo BB Cream but unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointment. Can’t say I’m a fan of BB creams but somehow the Hada Labo Air caught my eye.
And yes, would love to see a picture of you entire BB Cream collection!!!
Aww shucks, should have just told you earlier that it’s not as good as expected. Oops! π I’ll add a picture of my current BB cream collection in my next BB Creamology π
Aww, I’m sorry that Hada Labo’s BB cream didn’t work for you! When it first came out, I rushed to the nearest Guardian to procure it and thankfully, I like it though there are few things I’d love to have changed. It was a little thick for my liking but I’m a sucker all things Hada Labo and its high SPF is certainly eye catching!
Yadah BB cream looks so cute! And like everyone else, I’d LOVE to see a picture of your entire BB cream collection. Hati berdebar-debar menunggu!

I’m glad it works for you. The high SPF was appealing, right? If not for the flaky bits, I”d be able to overlook the rest of its shortcomings just for the good SPF. Oh well.
Hahaha alrighty, I’ll post a picture of the entire BB cream collection in my next BB Creamology episode π
The HadaLabo BB Cream flakes on me too. But if you gently pat the product in as opposed to spreading it around, the flaking is very minimal. Yadah’s version is so much better and I actually like the packaging ‘cos I love girlie/cute things π

Thanks Lyn, I’ll try patting it in. Don’t know why it flakes on me in the first place. I thought maybe it’s because my skin has lots of dead skin cells and is in need of exfoliating. So I scrubbed it first. Same ol’ thing. Hmmm.
I tried the Yadah #1 one and it’s pretty nice, good colour match for me too. I don’t like Hada Labo’s texture, so it never got into my to-buy list. The high SPF is good though! Most BB cream don’t offer such high SPF, at least not the ones I own anyway π
The Boots one look like some creamy- oil though, especially in the pic before you spread it out. A bit yucky if I may say so π

That’s what I thought too! How awesome is the high SPF eh? That was what drew me in in the first place. I thought the texture was all right but when it was applied on my face, ugh, flake central. YUCK.
Hahaha yeah I agree. The Boots one doesn’t look very appealing, does it? π
I actually quite like the Yadah BB cream (and this is coming from someone who is rather “meh” about BB creams!) and the fact they have two shades available instead of the “one shade suits most” you usually see.
And am gonna echo the rest of the comments – I wanna see pic of your whole BB cream stash, woman! π

Hahaha okay will do a picture of an updated stash of BB creams π
PS: Thanks for the chance to try out the Yadah BB cream! Looks very unassuming in the tube but turned out to be a pretty good one!
I cannot take my eyes off the first picture of the blog post , sooooo many BB creams π
do you think no. 7 BB cream will be suitable for dry skin you said it’s creamy and gives a dewy finish so I guess it would work, right?
Hahaha I’ll show you a picture of my updated stash in my next post. There are even MORE BB creams. Yikes! π
The No 7 BB cream says that it’s meant for oily/combo skin. I’m okay with dewy finish but this one’s a bit too “wet” for my liking. I’m not sure if it’s creamy enough for dry skin though.
OOH can’t wait to see your updated stash pics π and thanks for your response so I guess since I have really dry skin it will not be suitable for me
