I haven’t been writing about beauty box subscriptions lately or do any unboxing posts because quite frankly, most haven’t been very inspiring. It seems blasphemous for me as a beauty blogger to say “aww man, another beauty box? Again?” when I see beauty boxes. I’d love to see new boxes with different things like accessories and even food. How interesting would that be, eh?
This brings me to a box that was sent to me weeks ago. It’s called Native Box, and when I saw it, I’ll be honest. I did sigh “it must be yet another beauty box”. But when I unboxed it, well, it was quite pleasant surprise.
Organic, sustainable, eco-friendly, green, pure and natural are all the buzz words flooding the marketplace with the promise of wholesome living. Needless to say, holistic health can be a challenging pursuit. Native Box is a subscription service that cuts through this clutter to deliver curated boxes filled with an extensive and growing range of eco-friendly, fair trade, and organic goods to Australian households. It’s only natural to be excited!
It’s a box full of natural goodies. You don’t just get beauty products like a papaw ointment, soap or lipbalm, you also get breakfast bars, popcorn, superfoods like chia seeds and even environmentally-friendly laundry detergent. It’s different and it stands out in the market of subscription boxes. What can I say? It’s a great idea and I like it mucho.
If you’re into natural, cruelty-free, Australian-owned-and-made and eco-friendly products, this is definitely a box I’d recommend you to try. It’s not just about beauty. It’s also about keeping yourself healthy.
As for the number of products you’ll get per box, I checked with Native Box and I was told that you get 10-15 products per month. That’s pretty darn good!
Subscription is $15/month including a shipping fee of $5.95 ($20.95 in total). If you opt for the 3 or 12 month plan, the cost of the box is reduced to $12.75/month or around $18/month including shipping. I’d say try it out on a monthly basis first before committing to a yearly subscription. If you like it, then go ahead and switch to a longer but cheaper alternative.
What do you think of the idea of the Native Box? Yay or nay?
I like the idea here. I’m sick of seeing lip balm and shampoo samples. AND PERFUME SAMPLES. This is great – especially covering so many things… might look into it! 🙂

Hahaha tell me about it! How are tiny, tiny perfume samples considered ONE sample in the box? 😛
That’s why I like the idea of this box too. It’s different. Here’s hoping it will last 🙂
Amazing idea. Love the chia shots!

I know, right? That would be a great idea too!
It’s a nice box:) This is the first time that I heard there was more than 8 products!! Fantastic!
Me too! The items are pretty small, but still, that’s a pretty good deal. Here’s hoping they last 🙂
Love it!
Me too! 😀
….and have signed up for it – see how the first month goes – from their facebook page, interest is growing and they appear to have some great products in it!
Oooh do let me know what you think. I hope you get good boxes, and hope they manage to sustain the business. Sounds like such a good idea too.
Have just come across another subscription box – you’ve probably heard about it in your circles – Her Fashion Box – got an email tonight from THE BEAUTEBUZZ. Getting a bit pricey at $49.95 (incl postage) but they and other sites are offering it at half price ($24.95) using various code words (BEAUTEBUZZ is one) and I think the very first box is about to be sent out (they have a fb page). I’m remiss to sign up as I’m concerned if you cancelled after the first box, you’d probably still need to pay and receive the next box at full price before cancellation takes effect – not too sure with T&C’s. Anyway, thought I’d mention it to you. Cheers.
I received the press release for that one! It’s not something I’m interested in so I didn’t get back to the PR who asked me if I’d like to be sent a box for review. Still, I’m interested in seeing reviews for Her Fashion Box; would love to see what they have to offer and if it’s worth the hefty $49.95 a month.
this is interesting! it would be a nice change for all those beauty boxes 🙂 and this is a lot of products for one box 🙂
I know, right? I expected 6 items, didn’t expect so many. Then again, subscription companies are notorious for sending more sample to beauty editors and bloggers so I checked with the PR on how many do subscribers actually get per month. She said 10-15. That’s pretty good!
this looks definitely more interesting than just the beauty boxes 🙂

That’s what I thought too. A box with a difference 🙂
I’m yay for the Native Box. I really like the idea of a taster of products that you see and umm and ahh about trying. I make up boxes like this for my family for Christmas and birthday but this would be even easier.
These are great gift ideas. It’s great that you make them for your family for such occasions. Gives a lovely personal touch 🙂
Thanks for sharing your opinion about Nativebox. Is it delivered by Australia Post or private courier? How big is the box? A4?

Hi Cyndie,
It’s sent via Australia Post and the box is smaller than A4.
