I’ve never even heard of a-england nail polishes until a group of gorgeous, nail polish-crazy friends from Malaysia (the #evurl gang) began raving about them. When Beetrice asked me if I wanted to get some on the action too, I figured why not? I selected Dragon and Saint George, and today I’m going to show you Saint George.
Saint George – Bearer of a valiant & courageous heart, this fathomless teal reveals the strength of the brave knight’s convictions with his gleaming, fiery core.
When I swatched this, I gasped at how absolutely stunning the colour was. This, sadly, does not happen often. I don’t even know how to describe the colour. It looks like holographic green pines. One coat is enough for full opacity; however, in the pictures, two coats were used.
The finish is beautifully glossy. Application is a breeze as the formula is lovely to use. I have no issues with the brush at all. Longevity-wise, I did get tip wear after just a couple of days which isn’t too good. I wasn’t expecting it, not when I haven’t even been using my hands very much then (just my usual routine). Still, the gorgeous colour alone is good enough for me to forgive that problem.
Saint George is part of the “Legends” range and retails at £9.00. A-England nail polishes are available exclusively on their website.
OMG! I wanted to get this when I saw swatches on some nail-blogger.. absolutely stunning! Where did you get yours?
Charlotte: My cousin bought it for me when she did a group order with some friends. You can actually get them from their official website – http://www.a-england.co.uk/
I’ve bought it! Saint George, along with Merlin and Lady of the Lake! Just painted Lady of the Lake on myself! Looooooving it!
Woohoo! Gorgeous colours! 😀
You know, I still haven’t used this one 😛 But I might go for it with that navy blue dress I’ve been talking about. I reckon it’d be stunning (and a little surprising) Looks gorgeous on you!

Paris B: This one knocked my socks off man. When I swatched it, I went “WOAAAAAHHHH”. Very few nail varnishes make me do that 😛
Gorgeous colour, as with a lot of the A-England polishes…I think I’ve accumulated about 5 or 6 bottles already. The tip wear is a bit surprising since Tristam on me lasted for a good week before showing any signs of wear, but then again it’s really down to individual use. 🙂 Try Ascalon if you get the chance, I’m sure you’d love it! 😉

Wow, I really love the colour and the shine! That’s the number one thing for me that I look for, great glassy shine. It looks like its been glazed and baked in a pottery oven (I’m sure there a proper name for that but I don’t remember haha)! This is such a beautiful shade, thanks for the heads up on the brand. I’d never heard of it either.

I love this!! And I’m wearing Ascalon now 🙂 – tip wear surprisingly way better though. Considering I clean and cook, it can still last me a week!

Giddy Tigress: Aww man, could it just be my nail polish formula then? ‘Cos I didn’t even do any cooking or cleaning when I had Saint George on >.<
it’s a gorgeous color!
Issa: Oh it is! 🙂
Wow! It’s so gorgeous!
