I love using facial mists, especially during the hot summer days. Spritzing my skin whilst standing in front of the air-conditioner is one of my favourite things to do when it’s crazy hot and/or muggy outside. Yes yes, I know it’s counterproductive since the air from the AC is drying on the skin, but hey, I’d do anything short of stripping down to my birthday suit to escape the heat 😛
For years I’ve been using Avene’s Thermal Water spray on my skin, but since last spring, I’ve taken to lavender facial mists. They don’t just smell amazing, but they soothe the skin as well, especially when my skin’s flares up for no apparent reason. My current stash of lavender mists are from Jurlique and Echolife.
I categorised these lavender mists under Save vs Splurge because of the price difference between the two bottles. They’re equally good products in my books. The Jurlique Hydrating Mist is stronger and heavier in scent compared to the one from Echolife. I personally prefer the Echolife one because it’s lighter in scent (I don’t like heavy fragrances in summer), and the spray mist spreads wider compared to Jurlique’s, which has a smaller spray nozzle.
Splurge: Jurlique Hydrating Mist
Save: Echolife Lavender Facial Mist
If you’re looking for a good facial mist which smells lovely, calms the skin and hydrates it on warm, humid days, I highly recommend these lavender mists by Jurlique and Echolife. Like I said, both are equally good, so perhaps the price point might sway you to a quick decision? 🙂
Do you enjoy using facial mists? What are your favourites?
I love the smell of lavender and have a wonderful lavender pillow spray. But I have never tried the facial mist. I’ll check it out. Thanks

Gwen: Oooh I love a good lavender pillow spray too. Gives me good night sleep 🙂
I have that Echolife mist and I love it however it is pretty huge for taking around the place. I always have some facial mist in my bag when I’m at work so I prefer a smaller sized container.

Megan: Yeah it’s quite a big bottle. How about decanting it to a smaller bottle to carry around with you? 🙂
