I wear an incredible amount of black. Must be a Melbourne thing, because I’ve never worn that much black back in Malaysia 😛 Nevertheless it suits me just fine as it covers the jelly belly and I somehow manage to fool people into thinking I’m a little chic 😉
Still, amidst all that dark colours, it’s fun to wear something bright. And if I cannot do bright clothes (sorry, the 80s called and took all my neon clothes back), I damn well will wear bright nails. Face of Australia‘s Luxe nail lacquer in Summer Spice is just the ticket.
It’s such a gorgeous red. Not RED red, but with a warm red with a bit of orange in it, if you know what I mean (I’m rubbish at describing colour). I could be decked in full black and still look mighty chipper with this on my nails.
I really like the consistency of the Luxe polishes. It doesn’t streak, I’ve not had problems with chipping, and topping it off with Seche Vite just makes the colour pop. Funny thing is, this $5 baby works AND looks better than a few $30+ nail lacquers that I have!
Amazingly vibrant color! Reminds me of Dior Aloha from the Summer 2011 Collection. 🙂
Jess: I’m such a nail n00b; I had to google what Dior Aloha was 😛 But yes, it is similar, I just love the vibrant colour, don’t you?
Beautiful! Will look good with matching lippy 😉
Ling: I wouldn’t match it though; I’m too chicken to wear that vibrant a colour on both parts of me! 😛 But I do have something softer for the lips, which will still go very nicely with the nails 😉
That’s a beautiful color, Tine! And I applaud you for being bold enough to try it!
Giddy Tigress: You should try it too! Such a vibrant pop of colour will brighten any outfit up 🙂
I adore these sorts of reds! I love anything orange, this would be great paired with a coral or red lippy. Love it, and the name too!
Emmabovary: Me too! Coral, warm sorta red, perfect when worn in winter. To be honest, I’m not that big a fan of taupes and the like colours in winter; it’s dreary enough already, lighten up! 😛
I love it, it’s so beautiful and bright!
Gio: It is! Perfect for the weather we’re having in this part of the world.
