Nivea Visage Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream

There’s been quite a lot of buzz about this tinted moisturiser in the past couple of months. Curiosity got the better of me, and I knew I had to pop this into my shopping basket on one of my trips to Drugstore Mecca (also known as Priceline).

To be honest, I was slightly apprehensive about this tinted cream despite my initial excitement. After all, very few tinted moisturisers have worked for me, given my oily T-zone. After all, even Olay’s Touch of Foundation moisturiser didn’t work for me. Would this?

Nivea Visage Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream SPF 15

Description:

NIVEA Visage Anti-Wrinkle Q10Plus Tinted Day Cream is a tinted pigment moisturiser with a sheer finish to suit all skin tones. The Day Cream features a hydrating formula to keep the skin looking smooth and radiant. It supports the skin cellsโ€™ own energy source for natural repair and renewal through hero ingredient Coenzyme q10. It also contains UVA and UVB filters and SPF 15 to protect against sun-induced premature aging.

Texture? Slightly thick at first squeeze from the tube. I like to squeeze it onto the back of my palm, blend with my fingertips before applying it on my face (I do this primarily with liquid foundation). The cream thins out a little after spreading it on the back of my hand, and blends very well on my skin.

As for the scent, well, it smells just like any other Nivea moisturisers, if you know what I mean. It’s not unpleasant, in fact, I quite like it.

Coverage is sheer to medium. It definitely evened out my skintone, covering the redness around my nose and any tiny red bumps on my face. Another plus. It doesn’t give me a matte finish, but more of a dewy one. I’m not usually keen on the latter, but somehow, this just works. My face doesn’t shine unflatteringly, but it somehow glows. I’m contradicting myself, aren’t I? That’s just how it is!

One other thing though, even after an hour after application (without powder on top), my cheeks still feel a tad moist. It’s not exactly sticky, it’s not wet, but it just feels …moist (ugh, that word again). Despite it all, you know what? I don’t hate it. I really don’t.

This is certainly becoming a summer staple for me, for warm days I cannot be bothered with foundation. Slap this on, sweep some powder over it if I want a matte finish, and I am done.

Nivea Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream SPF 15 retails at AU$18.89 for 50ml and is available at leading pharmacies and supermarkets.

What I like about it: Not oily, enough coverage for me, contains SPF.

What I do not like about it: Leaves my cheeks moist, not enough SPF.

I’ve just started to use Origins Vita-zing moisturiser that has a tint to it, seems a lot like this. I agree that they’re great for evening out redness. I’ve been using mine underneath my mineral foundation which gets rid of the ‘dewy’ finish.

Nice review. I’ll keep this one in mind. ๐Ÿ™‚ x

Clever Rabbit: I’ve not tried the Origins one yet, but I’ll also keep that one in mind. Thanks for the heads up!

I was recommended Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer and I love. It def hid the redness from my cheeks and I did not need to use foundation at all ( I usually use Natio). Will have to try this out now ๐Ÿ™‚

I have the “moist” thing too! i am still undecided if i am in love with this product because after a little bit my skin starts to feel weird…

Mirebella: I used Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser for years before I started moving on to other brands. Definitely a plus in my books.

Tegan: Thank goodness I’m not the only one! There I was thinking, as I was writing this post, “would anyone understand what I meant by still having moist cheek?” Phew ๐Ÿ˜›

Good to know! My mum’s always looking for an inexpensive tinted moisturiser – I’ll pass this link on to her ๐Ÿ™‚ My all-time fave TM (though I haven’t worn it in forever) was Dior Hydraction. Bit pricey, but man it did a good job!

    BB cream FTW.

been looking for a double duty type product so i don’t have to slather on so many layers in the morning. i love the ‘eclat de rose’ from by terry. it’s a tinted moisturizer that has tons of skincare benefits. a bit pricey but it’s like a few products in one bottle and your face doesn’t feel cakey at all. very natural feeling on skin.

Tegan (that Tegan up there) sent me a tube of this the other day, as she had two. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but now I’m a bit worried. I don’t like moistness (I hate the word moist – it’s probably my least favourite word in the world, and one of the hardest for me to say aloud – I almost gag on it).

It’s too humid to be messing about with face creams here at the moment, but hopefully I can have a crack at it later in the week.

    Coco: Hee hee! ๐Ÿ˜€

Bree @ The Blog Stylist: Reaaallly? I shall check it out pronto then. Thanks for the heads up ๐Ÿ˜›

Ponikuta: Unfortunately, haven’t found THE one yet, BB creams-wise. Hopefully will stumble upon one when I’m back in M’sia.

Mimiface: Another product I am gamed to try. Perhaps I could score a sample from Mecca? Fingers crossed!

Dee: Yeah, it is incredibly muggy these days, and I wouldn’t be using it either. I leave it for days when it’s dry and hot out. And really, who likes the word “moist”? ๐Ÿ˜›
