First impressions – it smells herb-y. If you have used or are using natural skincare products, you’ll recognise this similar scent. It’s very herb-y. A little lavender-ish, perhaps? The nose of the tube was also foil-sealed, which, in my books, scores a high point for hygiene. Also, this is one of the very few brands and ranges of makeup I know that is actually certified organic.
In terms of the shade, I’m using Fair to Light, and it was spot on. Matched my skin tone perfectly.
Of all the tinted moisturisers and sunscreens I’ve used, I’d say this gave me the lightest coverage. The texture is very runny and spreads well on the skin. When I tested it out at Priceline, I liked how light it was, and how non-greasy it felt. It’s odd because after purchasing the moisturiser, and applying it on my skin the next day, the oilies appeared in just under an hour. In fact, in the light of day, I could see a very thin layer of shine on nose already upon application. I should have seen that as a bad sign. By the end of the day, I used quite a lot of facial blotters just to remove the greasy sheen. And it all happened during winter, the driest season of all. Imagine the havoc it would create if I were to use this in summer.
Having said that, I think this would work better on normal-to-dry skin. It’s just an opinion though; I’d love to hear those who have dry skin and have already tried this out. This might give you a dewy glow, which is not a bad thing, but for my oily skin, personally I’d prefer to keep it as matte as possible.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Tinted Moisturizer is available at Priceline for AU$19.95.
What I like about it: Contains SPF, light texture, matched my skin tone.
What I do not like about it: Did not control the oilies on my face well.
Hm, that sounds rather terrible. =/
Aiyee. Sounds awful. Was planning to pick this up come summer but will prob scurry over to Almay’s instead. Did you get anything else from the PF organic line?
I reckon it’s not a re-purchase then?
I get the same problem with BB creams, even though my skin is actually quite dry due to a thyroid disorder!
Heard about the Made from Earth skincare products from one of my co-workers. Since the majority of us are big fans of organic products we tend to discuss them quite a bit.
Received a sample of the “3 Berry Face Serum” and was extremely impressed! Ordered a full-sized container of this product 2 days later. My skin is pretty sensitive & is also dry.
I did hesitate when I read the ingredients (on website after I’d tried the sample of this product) because I have had no allergic reaction at all. Have now been using this product at night for over a month & am extremely satisfied with the results & the product itself! Just 2 pumps of this product will cover my face & neck. It leaves my skin, moisturized without greasiness, soft, & seems to have even improved my skin tone/texture/clarity to a small degree.
I am a senior woman and I am impressed with this product in the main.
I purchased at Priceline in Mandurah WA and didn’t realise that there is a use-by date on the tube. (There wasn’t one on my first purchase a few months back.) This recent purchase was on the 22nd of December 2010. You can’t see the expiry date when in the shop because of the way it is packaged and I had opened and begun using the moisturiser before I noticed that there was a use-by date and that it had expired well before my purchase. (07/10.)
I’ve only tried the Organic Wear Liquid Foundation because I was afraid that this might be too light in order to cover up my Rosacea…however…that one feels and looks sooo greasy like the texture of Vaseline…too bad that they didn’t have any testers or samples in-store prior purchasing the liquid foundation in Canada…else I don’t think that I would have gotten the foundation…even though the liquid foundation surprisingly didn’t break my skin out while Vaseline sometimes would…though I have extremely dry, dehydrated, and sensitive skin…and had to actually use setting powder in order to make it set perfectly…in which setting powder always dries my skin out even further…except when combined with the foundation! Ha! Can you imagine that?! I definitely 100% do NOT recommend the liquid foundation to those who have oily skin, like you, and/or acne prone skin as well!
