The Blistex Lip Infusion Cool Splash is a mint flavoured liquid lip balm that glides on with an smooth rolling tip. It looks a roll-on perfume, but for the lips. When I first tried it on, I was very pleasantly surprised at how cold the metal ball was when it rolled against my lips. It felt really good on a hot day. Imagine running an icecube along your lips on a stinkin’ hot day. Yep, that’s the feeling. The menthol and spearmint also left my lips feeling tingly.
The liquid left a very shiny sheen on my lips. It’s like lipgloss, just without any of the stickiness. Plus it’s got SPF 12, which is very good. We often slather sunscreen all over our face, neck, arms and legs, but forget our lips.
Unfortunately, that’s just all about that’s good about the lip balm. It claims to moisturise lips. My lips actually felt drier after using this! Everytime I reapplied the lip balm, my lips got worse. It just felt as though the liquid was sucking the moisture out of my parched lips. I had to stop using this after a while, and went back to my Softlips.
There are also a lot of negative reviews on Makeup Alley, where most of the reviewers claimed it to strip moisture off their lips too. So bye bye to you Blistex Lip Infusion. Another bad buy 🙁
Blistex Lip Infusion is available at Priceline and most drugstores.
Although I have to say, I do like the concept of a roll-on lip balm. If they improved on the formula, I might give it another go.
Do you know of any other roll-on lipbalms?
What I like about it: Good concept of a roll-on lip balm. Nice glossy sheen on the lips.
What I did not like about it: Dried my lips out big time. That’s a big boo boo for a lip balm.
I have to say this Tine, but a lot of products that fancied your senses also fancied mine! I have the same Blistex roll on lip balm but it’s not the Cool Splash, just the regular one! I find it not drying to me but I just don’t know why I gave it away! I think it is because of the scent, I don’t like the taste of it! I love the concept of roll on too coz more product came out! I’m sorry it didn’t work for you!
Oooh I have this and I love it;)
awh, sorry it didn’t work out as a lip balm.. 🙁 maybe you can rub it behind your ears on hot days 🙂
Please let me know if you know where the blistex lip infusion with the rollerball can be found…I can not locate it anywhere..I don’t even care which one…cherry …medicated …
