When I dropped by Myer (Chadstone) yesterday, I stumbled upon Too Faced cosmetics at the Kit Cosmetics counter.
At a glance, it reminded me of Benefit and Malaysia’s Beautilicious. Think vintage pin-up girls and lots of baby pink and black. Even the website is girly. As a huge fan of pink and black, I was immediately captivated.
I just love how fun makeup packaging is nowadays. I mean, yeah, I love the classy pieces like YSL and Dior, but I’d like me some fun makeup to carry with me too. I can see why more and more young girls are getting into makeup; who can resist such cute makeup?
I haven’t had a chance to try it out, but I’ll definitely be heading to Myer again over the weekend to check it out properly. Packaging can only go so far, right?
Too Faced is available at the Kit Cosmetics counters or boutique at Chapel St (South Yarra), Lonsdale Street (CBD) and Myer, Chadstone.
girl! I’ve heard so much about too faced! And we don’t have it here in manila!!! If ever you got the chance to try it, I would love to hear your feedback on these…great packaging! I Love it if they packaged the make up in a really cute way 😀
ooo…nice!! im a sucker for pretty packaging! im more prone to buy pretty things than just quality things…hehe
hey now that you’re in australia, u get to try so much more stuffs!!! do they have bare escentuals there?! been meaning to get my hands on them but msia no have ma…
Have heard of lots of good things about Too Faced. Just never got round to trying it! Now you have access to it, report report!
Askmewhats:
I know! Sometimes I wonder if I should just buy it for the packaging, who cares about the quality? No no NO! Stop it, Tine, just stop it.
:p
Fashionasia:
Yay, another one. Come join the club :p
Yeah, you can get Bare Escentuals here, at Myer in the Melbourne CBD. I haven’t checked it out yet though. The starter kit (including the DVD) is AUD80. I’m not really liking the ingredients though. I wouldn’t suggest you to get it here. Cosmetics are overpriced in Australia.
Paris:
Yes ma’am! :p
You HAVE to try the Shadow Insurance as an eyeshadow primer. I hear it’s as good as the Urban Decay Primer Potion, if not better. I’m going to get some this weekend to see how it compares!
i love Too Faced & the Kit Store too!! My favourite place of all. LOL.
The liquid foundation is amazing, conceals 90% of my scars with just 1 layer! But yeah.. they are so overpriced in Australia.
Try getting a CP from US if possible.
Shryh:
You know what, I read the same thing in a few other beauty blogs about Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance too! I’m definitely going to check that out 😉
Daphne:
Ahh a fan, I see 😉
I’ll go check out the foundation you speak of. Sigh … cosmetics in Australia are ridiculously marked up in prices.
LONSDALE ST?!?!?! WHERE? WHERE? WHERE? Where in Lonsdale, I mean. I only know of it in Myer in Bourke St. Am I missing more out? 😀 I bought my dark grey/silver nail polish for autumn from Kit as a celebration before I started work. So damn fun 😛
The girls at the Chapel St store are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice. You should hop in there for a bit on Wednesday 😉
Geekchic:
Dunno leh. The website said there’s one in Lonsdale St. Time to go to a bit of a search 😛
I bought a Pop Beauty something at the Kit Cosmetics at Chapel St. Yeah, they’re friendly all right 😉
Ooo Wow! Something new! I’ve never heard of it before. Looks deliriously cute. I’d love to try!!! Gosh….must go on a hunt for it!
If anyone’s hunting for mineral makeup, my sis and I use Silk Naturals which u can purchase online. They work well on us…skin seems better after using it…so u might wanna give that a shot if ur interested in mineral makeup.
Meh….I’m a Benfit girl and as a Benefit girl I forwn at the blantly ripoff of my favourite brand =p
Indulgent Diva:
Hmm Silk Naturals huh? I’ll go check it out now. Thanks for the tip!
Constant Drama:
Honey, Benefit’s expensive in Malaysia lah. Gotta search for an alternative, y’know 😉
Can you tell me how much Too Faced costs in Melbourne? I currently live in Rome and have become addicted to all the international brands stocked at Sephora, including Too-faced (their “absolutely flawless” concealer especially, which is by far the most brilliant concealer that I have ever tried for undereye circles). I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to buy this brand when I return to Melbourne but I am happy to hear it exists there! Here in Italy it is quite expensive, but I suspect that in Australia it might be even more so…
